DIVA DAY
Mon, January 31, 2011 at 16:00 DIVA DAY. Alpine Initiatives is hosting a Diva Day in Steamboat, Saturday February 12th; please see the invitation and agenda. 11.7 is happy to partner with AI in promoting sustainability in our mountain communities as well as in Africa. 11.7 believes that sustainability and goodwill starts in one's own community and can be carried on throughout the world.
Alpine Initiatives was started by skiers and is a catalyst for the mountain community to collaborate, contribute, and initiate change in communities and environments worldwide. Through social, ecological and agricultural interactions, AI works to create and nurture sustainable environments and communities.
AI will discuss their current work in Kenya as well as their future work in Madagascar. 11.7 will give a brief presentation on the synergy that can be found between community development and sustainable tourism throughout Africa.
